So sad to cancel my subscription because I am moving out of state! For nearly an identical price to other services like HelloFresh, you get sustainable, local, and FRESH meals. The portion sizes were large which made it easy to stretch some meals for longer than 2! I really can't recommend al-freshco enough!
Wonderful company and meals! As someone who doesn’t eat meat, it’s amazing to actually have a choice of vegetarian (actually vegan) meals to pick from each week. Even better, I know all the veggies and most of the other ingredients too are locally grown, and it feels great to be supporting local businesses, local delivery (by bike — no gas wasted at all!), eco-friendly practices, and to have a delicious nearly fully prepared meal waiting for me when I get home late from work! (Not all fully prepared, but all the veggies are already cut up, sauces made, and ingredients pre-mixed as much as possible, which saves so much time for everything else in life). I have been recommending Al FreshCo to all my friends who live within biking distance!
My wife and I got a Nift coupon for al Freshco and thought we'd give it a try. We assumed it would be something a little different for a few meals and then we'd be done with it. We were hooked instantly, The meals are delicious, vary from week to week (they never get old), and easy to prepare. We're not vegan but find these meals as delicious as anything we'd normally prepare, vegan or otherwise. What we thought would be a few meals has turned into three meals a week for almost 2 years now.
Whether vegetarian or not al FreshCo delivers fabulous local food. I am always hesitant to try meal subscription programs. Typically there is so much packaging and the vegetables come from afar. With al FreshCo I am able to enjoy local vegetables supporting local farmers with minimal packaging. Our picky eater of a child is trying new things. She get excited opening up the package and cooking dinner. The simple directions to follow allow me to cook a healthy dinner with her that she actually eats. I enjoy eating local food throughout the year. The menu is always interesting with creative local pairings.
I was blown away by the quality of the meal kit I recently tried. The flavors were incredibly fresh and the recipes were simple but unique, making for a truly delightful experience. Additionally, I was thrilled to see that the packaging was eco-friendly, made from compostable and recyclable materials. Overall, it was clear that a lot of care and attention went into every aspect of this meal kit, from the delicious ingredients to the sustainable packaging.
I've considered other meal delivery kits but was never thrilled by the menu choices or environmental impact of delivery/packaging. I was so excited to find al Freshco with their minimal packaging, local delivery, and awesome meal selections. We were so impressed with our first meal, we couldn't wait to check out the next week's options. I highly recommend...lots of flavor and so easy!
I look forward to my al FreshCo meal every week! It's especially nice on nights I have to work late to be able to still cook for myself because the kits are so easy and come together fast. The food is fresh, delicious, and what I want to be eating already. I love the minimal packaging, and supporting local farming and my community. And the customer service is top-notch, always delivering rain or shine and fast to respond to questions!
Out of all the meal kit subscriptions I've tried, al FreshCo is hands down my favorite! Every meal has a delicious mix of fresh veggies, protien and grains but the best part is that all ingredients are grown and sourced locally! The kits are thoughtfully packaged with ready to cook, prepped ingredients and contain easy to follow recipes. They are a huge time saver on busy nights and my kids have loved every recipe so far! I'm always happy to support local farmers and businesses and with al FreshCo I get to do both - all while enjoying delicious, fresh and healthy meals with my family ❤️
So happy to have discovered al FreshCo at my local farmer's market! After sampling a few of their meals, we decided to start a subscription and have been so pleased with the quality of the ingredients, variety, and convenience of the service. My partner and I eat a lot and have had issues with other services where the portions are too small for our appetites - this has not been the case with al FreshCo. Definitely recommend checking this service for anyone with limited time that wants to eat healthy, locally produced food!
Al FreshCo was like finding a diamond in the rough this winter! Super easy cooking, enjoying new foods n’ flavors, while also supporting local farming/small business communities? It’s a win-win to me. The quality and convenience of these meal kits are wonderful. And the care and intention of this eco-minded, farm-to-table company is even better. You don’t need to be a ‘self-identified’ vegetarian or vegan to enjoy this meal delivery service either. I’ve discovered that for myself anyways :) The food is delicious.
